About Us
Who We Are:
We are a group of golfers that play each Saturday morning at many of the Pasco/Pinellas and Hillsborough County area courses. Our league has been in existence for over 35 years and our Commissioner, Mike Chissell, has participated for over 15 years and currently in his 10th year as our Commissioner.
Our “home” course has been Seven Springs Country Club as well as Tarpon Woods Golf Course which was recently acquired and renovated by LPGA Tour Player and Hall of Fame Golfer Jan Stephenson. To mix things up for our players, we also enjoy traveling once a month to many different courses in our tri-county area.
Competition:
We offer many different competitive formats each week. Closest to the hole on all Par 3’s, Gross Skins as well as Quota Point formats for the Front Nine, Back Nine and Overall 18 hole event. PLUS, currently our accumulated prize pool of $500.00 is paid out to the very next golfer who makes a hole-in-one. We also have several other competitive contests for which we refer to as the weekly “2-Hole match” and lowest score recorded on a random hole decided in advance by our Commissioner. We are very excited to announce that beginning in 2020, each player will be provided with the ability to assess their performance from week to week through statistical data analysis.
Our tee times normally begin anywhere from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM each Saturday morning. We email out all announcements each week providing our players with the course and starting times for that given Saturday.
Post Round Scoring and Lunch:
Stick around after you turn in your scorecard at the completion of play. Each facility that hosts our game provides us with seating in their main clubhouse where lunch is served. This gathering where we compute the results for the week and pay out winnings is some of the most memorable and fun times we have all while building camaraderie with your fellow players.
